Hello, everyone. You may have noticed, recently, that my channel has almost been as silent as thezennetworks. (Key word: Almost. Zen you really need to get to uploading some videos I mean come on man.)
Basically, I had some minor personal matters a few weeks ago that pushed me a couple of days behind schedule, but nothing major. Then, as I was near done creating one of my episodes, a message alerted me that some content creators were pretty angry with me because they're the creators now, not me. Seriously, if you want to get an autograph from a famous celebrity, don't try stalking them everywhere they go, just use one of their songs in your video (or logo, or video, or product, or face), and you'll instantly recieve some legal documents with some fabulous signatures at the bottom of all the threatening legalese. After a few days, I decided to just move on and hope they pick on some other youtuber for cash-monies.
And, oh wow, it's 19 October! Election time! How thrilling! Exhilarating! Breathtaking! (I've run out of synonyms.) In the midst of the suspense I decided it would be best to start a video. I decided I would start planning the next day.
The planning, finished. The setup, in place. The glass of water, ready. And the video? The video, I thought, would be done the next day.
Whoops. Thought wrong again, didn't I? I wake up the next morning with a slur of emails all relating to this "fantastic" new-fangled invention YOUTUBE RED. This service (or should I say paid service) blocks all ads for you (something GameOverTown and AdBlock already do for you), plus, it gives you all the updates you expected the snobby programmers at Google to give to you for free. Like they don't get paid enough, those poor souls. I find out that a few of my videos are blocked in the United States, which seems to worry YouTube much more than it did when three-quarters of my videos were blocked in Germany. I was then stuck trying to sort out a ton of copyrightable mess. Needless to say, I was busy, and for once it was truly not my fault.
As a result, I will extend the next three videos (yes, we're down to four in total now due to the demon called copyright) into November, and voting into December. I'd hoped to be done before Halloween, but I suppose late is better than never.
As always, we'll talk soon, everyone.
Sincerely,
GameOverTown
Long live YouTube Red, eh?
